MOVEMENT: THE ELIXIR OF LIFE
Whatever stage of life you’re at, the hobbies and interests you have, the job you do, the sports you play, movement is key to your enjoyment of them.
A body that moves well is a body that moves with fluidity and grace and without pain. To move well, you need:
A body that is functioning at its best thrives on movement and physical activity. And it does so freely and without objection.
So how well do you move?
WE ALL HAVE OUR WEAKNESSES
Our bodies are remarkable in their ability to overcome the weaknesses we have in our movement patterns.
The downside is that this ability to compensate does nothing to alert us to our weaknesses so that we can address them.
Inevitably, the part of us that has taken on the heavy lifting on behalf of the under-performing part will eventually become chronically overloaded and call time on us – usually in the form of an injury.
And so the best way to avoid this is to become aware of how you move, address any weaknesses and train your joints to move well through their full range of movement.
Is it time for you to give your movement patterns a health check?
GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
‘Use it or lose it’ is a term used a lot in the fitness industry. With good reason.
Our bodies are highly adaptive and responsive to the demands placed upon them. Which means that we can make huge gains in our strength and mobility through moving more and with purpose and intent.
On the flip side, our bodies are just as responsive to a lack of movement, and so the less we move, the less strength and range of movement we have. And our quality of life diminishes along with these losses.
But the good news is that, irrespective of your current levels of fitness and mobility, you can improve the way you move. You just need to commit to the process.
Are you ready to move more?
THE BEAUTY OF MOVEMENT
The simple things like kicking the car door shut with your foot, throwing a ball to your dog, taking the stairs two at a time, scrambling around on the floor with the kids all require freedom of movement.
Whether you wish you could…
…You need to start moving more. Moving with purpose, in all directions and through your full range of movement. Often.
And when you do, you will experience a new found freedom of movement and a better quality of life.
And I can help you find that…
